The Rolls-Royce jet engine maker is said to cutting Tuesday 2,500 jobs globally as part of a corporate overhaul that its new CEO is to carry out.
The aerospace company was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic that executed demand for air travel. Tufan Erginbilgic, who took over as chief executive in January, said the layoffs are aimed at making Rolls-Royce “more aerodynamic and efficient.”
Rolls-Royce has 42,000-person United Kingdom workers but the reason for the cutting in the jobs is that Rolls-Royce wants to filter out their workers and improve their work quality.

Why Thyroid Cancer is more common Transgender female veterans – A new study
The recent UC Davis health endocrinology researcher has shown in their research the most common thyroid cancer among transgender female veterans. It is the first proof of such a disparity in the transgender female population in the U.S.
The Davis health endocrinology researcher presented their findings this month at the American Thyroid Association Annual Meeting.
The study was performed on what the doctors noticed in Transgender female veterans in the United States.
The doctors say: As a group of physicians, we analyzed anecdotally through clinical monitoring that among fifty transgender women in our clinic in the United States, Two patients were diagnosed with thyroid cancer within a few years, explained Hiba Tariq Basheer, health sciences assistant clinical professor of endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism.
This is an issue in a larger population of transgender females in the United States, researchers have looked for past data in computer infrastructure databases, following:
- Patients are seen at all Veterans Health Administration sites across the U.S. from, Jan. 2017 to Jan. 2022.
- How many Patients are diagnosed with thyroid cancer?
Of the 9 million veterans seen during the operation time, 9988 were resolved to like by transgender women. Of those patients, 34 had verified thyroid cancer, appearing with a prevalence of 0.34% among transgender female veterans.
